The Polaroid Experience
In a world where thousands of digital images sit forgotten on hard drives and phone screens, there is something deeply magical about a physical photograph.
A Polaroid is a completely unique, one-of-a-kind object. There are no memory cards, no digital filters, and no duplicate copies. It is a raw, authentic chemical reaction capturing a single, irreplaceable split second in time.
By choosing a Polaroid Add-on, you introduce a beautiful, nostalgic element to your shoot, resulting in tactile keepsakes that you can hold, frame, and treasure instantly.

Beautifully Imperfect by Design

It is important to realise that Polaroid film is a completely different medium to modern digital photography.
Where my main digital setup captures sharp, high-resolution precision, analogue film behaves like a living chemical reaction. Polaroids are perfectly imperfect.
When you choose this add-on, you are embracing:
- Organic Grain & Soft Focus: Classic analogue film has a gorgeous, dreamlike softness and a rich texture that digital sensors simply cannot replicate.
- Unique Colour Shifts & Contrast: Ambient temperature, light, and humidity all play a part in how the chemistry develops, resulting in beautiful, unexpected warm tones and deep shadows.
- True Authenticity: You might see the occasional chemical artifact, soft edge, or light leak. These aren't flaws—they are the physical stamp of a real, unedited, one-of-a-kind moment.
If you are looking for flawless, high-end pixel precision, our main digital coverage has you completely covered. But if you want raw, atmospheric frames with real soul, nothing compares to the magic of a Polaroid.

The Gear & The Chemistry

I do not use a basic, mass-produced Instax camera you see everywhere at parties. While those are fun, they are simple consumer toys with plastic lenses. To ensure beautiful contrast, rich colours, and that iconic, signature Polaroid aesthetic, I use the absolute pinnacles of instant film cameras:
The Restored Polaroid SLR 680: Widely considered the greatest instant camera ever made. This is a vintage, folding single-lens reflex (SLR) masterpiece from photography's golden era. It utilises a professional, ultra-sharp glass lens and sonar autofocus to capture images with incredible character, depth, and physical soul.
The Polaroid I-2: Polaroid’s modern, flagship camera. It features their sharpest-ever three-element lens and full manual controls, allowing me to handle tricky lighting conditions with precision while preserving the raw, chemical magic of real instant film.
